Old Brick and Mortar
I took a look at my last post on another monitor today and was disappointed at how dark it looked there compared to how it looks on my own monitor. Had thought I might let that be the last until the the new year, barring something spectacular, but now that I've seen it I can't leave it be. Instead...
This shot was taken about a month ago, and while I'd meant to post it back then, for some reason I just never got around to it. While it's just a picture of a brick wall, I find the textures in the brick interesting. I'd seen the side of this building about a week earlier and noted it for a day when there'd be better weather and managed to actually get back there when just such a day occurred. And to add to the surprise, the picture I got was pretty much what I'd wanted! However, as every experience should teach us something; what I learnt from this one was that next time I'll try to keep the lens parallel to the building, to minimize the distortion effects - after all, I can always crop out the alleyway later...
Will this post then be the last post of this year??? Check back and find out...
