24 days - 5 more for a record

I tried to fit in a couple of minutes to scout for pictures on my lunch break today. On my brief walk I spotted what is probably a really comfortable chair, angled to face the mid-late afternoon sunshine. Wait a minute, what sunshine? With Vancouver experiencing it's 24th consecutive day of rain I don't suppose it's actually seen much use lately.

In spite of all this rain, or perhaps because of it, there were also some signs that spring might not be that far away - some plants are already beginning to bud or poke through the soil. Maybe there is reason for optimism!

I actually prepped three versions of this shot, two of which were black & white, but in the end went with this one as you can see the residual wet better.
