Fog Residue
I seem to have taken a lot of pictures since my last entry, but didn't feel like I had anything to post. I'm being too picky again, I think. I also liked the dragonfly a lot and didn't want to push it off the top of the pile too soon.
This past Saturday I got up fairly early (for a Saturday) and piled my gear into the car for a drive in search of inspiration. I drove over 70 kilometers, and came home finally without having even gotten out of the car. I did spot one thing that piqued my interest, but there was no place to pull over and I knew by the time I'd found a place to turn around on the highway to double back that the moment would be gone. But it did give me something to think about, so I got up early again on Monday morning (early for a holiday, it was raining Sunday morning - I know, I was up early then too!) and headed back to the same area, but a little bit earlier. Unfortunately, instead of some light, ground-hugging mist I found the location completely shrouded in fog. Sigh. Sometimes it's better just to get the sleep.
Since I was already up, and had had to walk a fair ways to the location from where I parked the car (was actually amazed to find it still there when I got back) I stuck around for a while. I guess it paid off, because I eventually spotted a veritable spider web farm and spent some time balancing precariously on a very steep, slippery slope on the side of the highway overpass taking pictures of webs. This is one of them...

Just wanted to leave a note to say that I enjoyed looking at all your pictures. I wish I had half your talent of capturing nature at its most beautiful. I hope you keep up your effort.
That's a beautiful photo, Kendall! Good job!
