Raindrops
Arg. Not sure that I'm going to like this... the posted image is quite a bit different than what I processed. My own fault I suppose; after spending a great deal of time fiddling with my home system getting it set up just right to work with Photoshop (and adobe RGB) I kinda forgot that things posted on-line loose "a little something" when they're converted to sRGB. Sigh. You'll have to trust me that this picture looks just kickin' when seen as intended (though I suppose it looks okay here).
I haven't shot much lately - since my last post I spent an incredible amount of time trying to get my system back-up to work, which it wasn't. Then, just days after I finally got that solved - or so I thought - the new backup drive developed a corrupted file table. I think that I've got everything solved now (thanks to the DOS version of chkdsk!) so I can get out and snap a shot or two and not worry about loosing anything if a drive fails.
As for this picture... it was taken about 2 weeks ago. Although it had stopped raining sometime earlier and was now sunny out, I noticed that some of the plants and flowers outside still had drops of rain on them - more so than you would usually see. This is the result, courtesy of some help from masks in photoshop (which I finally understand - mostly) thanks to Alison who passed along a photoshop magazine that explained clearly what to do (and helped me to figure out what I was doing wrong!).

If this looks okay here I would love to see how you wanted it to look. I love it!
The differences between this version and the original that I processed in photoshop using Adobe RGB are perhaps a bit subtle. Mainly, the background colour should be more teal, and there was a lot better contrast/definition in the leaf itself. This makes the overall coloured water drop effect more pronounced. At least to my eye. Can't show you here though...
