Diminutive Dragonfly
Not much to say about this other than it's a pretty immature specimen. Fully grown - if it survives that long - it'll be about 5-6 inches long. Here, it's about 3/4 of an inch from head to tail (not counting the two long things coming off it's butt end).
I know I haven't posted much lately. What else is new, huh? It's not that I haven't shot anything, just that much of what I've shot lately isn't stuff that I expect my blog visitors to enjoy or it's stuff that I just haven't gotten around to processing a version that I'm happy with. Well that last part's not completely true - I've had a couple of pictures for which I liked the "end" result, but when I took a last look at the images in Picasa to see how they'd look when uploaded I decided that nope, that's not what I want, or at all how they had looked in photoshop. Actually, neither did this one, but the differences are non-critical so it's close enough that I'll let it pass.
And oh yeah - I did warn you all that with the better weather there'd be a return to bug pictures...
