Stacked for the season?
As you can see, I processed two versions of this shot but couldn't decide which I liked better. I suppose that I ought to prefer the full-colour version as it is much more faithful to what you'd have seen if you were there when I pressed the shutter button. However, there's something in the mixed black and white with colour version that draws me, even though it's a gimmicky effect.
Location of the shot was the Deas Rowing Club, located in Deas Regional Park, which is actually quite a nifty place.

You know what? I like the 2nd photograph better, with the black and white in the background. When I first saw the 1st photo, I thought that the green and yellow were great colours, and so it's nice to see them and only them standing out as such in the 2nd photo.
Alison - My preference is also for the 2nd of the two pictures, but we're in the minority. A poll of people at work was overwhelmingly in favour of the full-colour picture...
I like the 2nd one too!
